Pollution Mitigation Technology
It is a fact that we currently live within a polluted world. For example there have been 2,056 nuclear tests conducted on earth by eight different nations and 528 of these tests were conducted above ground as (atmospheric tests). Those atmospheric tests (detonated in the atmosphere) spread radioactive materials through the earth’s atmosphere.
There have been nuclear test explosions detonated in dozens of test sites including Lop Nor in China, and the atolls of the Pacific, in the desert of Nevada, and Algeria and Western Australia and the South Atlantic and Kazakhstan and across Russia and elsewhere.

There have also been a number of nuclear accidents such as the one a Chernobyl Ukraine and the Fukushima nuclear accident in Japan where radioactive materials were also released into the environment by accident.
The Solution to Pollution is Dilution
Different types of pollution are often measured in [parts-per-million] “PPM” to determine levels of toxicity at which these pollutants are considered are safe for humans. Hence, the saying, “The Solution to Pollution is Dilution” because they consider a pollutant safe if it is below a certain concentration as found within air or water or soil or food sources. They use a different rating to measure how toxic radioactive materials are to humans but the same principle exists that it is determined by how “concentrated” or how “dilute” that radiation is.
The earth has been contaminated by radioactive materials which were spread worldwide in the atmosphere by wind and in water by ocean currents so they measure the concentration levels within the environment to determine if it is at safe levels for humans or not.
Also there are naturally occurring radiation sources (such as is found in some rock formations underground and found within ground water in certain locations- like northern Illinois USA) .

The point here is that besides having large amounts of radioactive toxins released into the environment from nuclear bomb testing and nuclear accidents that occurred, there is even some naturally occurring radioactive substances like “radium” found in ground water coming from certain rock formations and from the soil in specific locations.
Since radioactive material in the environment already exists (even naturally) – it is impossible to remove it all from the planet. It is for this reason that the threat is measured by how concentrated it is and at what level (dosage) these contaminants are considered toxic to humans.
Developing Pollution Mitigation Technology
We seek to find locations for building our refuge system that have the least amount of pollution but nevertheless there is always a need to develop our own “Pollution Mitigation Technology” so we can create an environment for our own people that is as healthy as possible. Radium for example has been removed from drinking water using a combination of technologies including reverse osmosis, ion exchange, and lime softening systems. Charcoal filtration systems can also be used for removing a wide variety of water pollutants.
Natural Methods of Water Purification
The Okavango River is located in southwestern Africa that ends in a vast inland delta known as the Okavango Swamp within the Kalahari Desert located in northern Botswana. The river, which is the fourth longest in southern Africa, runs southeastward for approximately 1,600 km (1,000 mi) from central Angola, where it is known as the Kubango, to the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. During the rainy season, the river’s flow can cause the swamp to stretch to 150 km across, attracting a significant concentration of wildlife to the area.

Plant Cleaners

The video above shows how the plant species called “Papyrus” naturally cleanses and purifies the dirty water as it enters the Okavango swamp in the Kalahari desert. [See video time stamp 6:28-6:47] These plants absorb nutrients from the incoming effluent and also absorb pollutants making the water crystal clear and clean.

Absorbing and Incinerating Toxins
The video segment above shows burning Papyrus. These plants are highly flammable due to their inherent oil content so they easily burst into flames. [See video time stamp 10:53 – 11:37]. During the dry season, when these plants catch fire, they will incinerate the toxins they have previously absorbed. These plants can therefore be identified as part of the “cleaner species” of plants which nature uses for water purification to draw out toxins from the water and then later incinerate these toxins by fire. It should also be noted that the foliage of the Papyrus plants are hard and inedible so that no animals use them for food. Thus these plants can absorb and retain toxins for incineration without having animals consume and spread these toxins.
Absorbing and Transporting Toxins Away
Papyrus plants grow in large floating clumps or matts upon the surface of the water. In the Nile River papyrus plants will break off in large clumps and will float down the river purifying the water as they float along downstream. Eventually these plants end up being carried by the river current out into the ocean where their absorbed toxins are carried out to sea and away from regions of human habitation. Again, this is nature’s method of absorbing toxins from water and then removing these toxins by carrying them out to sea.
We can see God’s wisdom in how he created earth to have inherent “cleansing systems” used to remove toxins and decay and dead things out of the environment and by using cleaner species of both the plant and animal kingdoms to cleanse both land and water.
Plants that Absorb Toxins from Soil
Weeds such as “pennycress” have been found to absorb heavy metal toxins from soils located around industrial sites. Such weeds can be gathered and incinerated at high temperatures to remove the toxins from the area (after these weeds have pulled these toxins from the contaminated soil).

Plants that Absorb Toxins from the Human Body
Consuming foods such as (cilantro, garlic, onions, and Brazil nuts) can cause heavy metals to bind to these foods and thus remove them from the human body.

Even the use of orally ingested charcoal powder can also absorb toxins and remove them from the human body.
Soil Absorption of Decay and Toxins
Ezekiel 39:12 (NASB95)
12 “For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.
Biblical prophecy predicts that a time will come when a vast military hoard will come to attack Israel but these vast armies will all be destroyed by God as he defends his people Israel. There will be so many dead human corpses on that day that it will take Israel seven full months to bury all of these dead enemy soldiers. The dead are buried to cleanse the land because soil has the ability to absorb toxins coming from decaying flesh.
Ezekiel 39:14–15 (NASB95)
14 “They will set apart men who will constantly pass through the land, burying those who were passing through, even those left on the surface of the ground, in order to cleanse it. At the end of seven months they will make a search.
15 “As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a man’s bone, then he will set up a marker by it until the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog.
This is why they bury the dead in order to stop all of the rottenness and decay and flies and maggots and methane gas and airborne disease from spreading.
When I was a traveling missionary in the Philippines, I was in the country during the 1990 earthquake that destroyed Baguio City in Northern Luzon Island. I was told that there was so many dead bodies after that disaster that the ground water in the wells became polluted by the rotting flesh. That means that the number of dead people exceeded the ability of the soil to absorb all of the decay and toxins produced by the rotting flesh. Thus even the subsurface ground water in wells became contaminated.

Oceans Cleanse Toxins
However, if there is not too many dead bodies in one location, normally the soil will be able to absorb the decay of rotting flesh. Not only does the soil have ability to absorb toxins but the ocean also can absorb toxins as well. It is said that there is no trace of human bodies around the wreck of the Titanic. The pressure was so great at that depth of the ocean that even the human bones dissolved and the flesh was quickly eaten by cleaner species such as crabs. So waste and decay is also cleansed in the ocean and the high salt content of the sea water keeps the oceans from becoming smelly like a septic tank.
The point being that God created cleaner species of animals on both land and sea to clean up dead carcasses and to remove other types of decay and waste. There are cleaner species of plants that can absorb toxins and remove them from contaminated soil and water. So both soil and the ocean water serve as mediums of absorption for cleansing of toxins.
Israeli Water Purification Technology
The nation of Israel is renown worldwide for their water purification technology. Not only do they desalinated sea water but they have technology to even purify sewer water to make in perfectly clean and fit for human consumption. This same technology can be used to purify the water we use within our own living system.

Integration of Cleansing Systems
There are many ways which we can incorporate pollution cleansing technology (including natural biological systems). We can import raw water into our system and treat it naturally with plants like papyrus or industrial hemp to absorb toxins of various types. Then we can utilize a high temperature incinerator to burn up these plants after they have done their job of absorbing toxins. The energy used for incineration can also be used to heat water pipes to create steam (which can be used for turning turbines for power generation). Also high temperature forges (used for metal production) could also be incorporated with the incineration of toxin absorbing plants. Thus we could generate electrical power and heat water and engage in industrial metal production with systems which can be integrated together.
Application for Cleansing Systems
We can therefore engineer our own cleaning systems based upon principles seen in God’s creation simply by studying how nature removes toxins from the environment. We can engineer systems that can remove any type of toxins from the environment or from the fresh water we use when building our refuge system. One of the first things we will do is to test water sources and soil for contaminates so that we know what type of cleansing method we can employ for an effective purification of any type of toxin found under a given situation.
It should be noted that tunneling deep below the surface allows us to access “virgin-soil” which has not yet been contaminated by all of the sources of pollution that commonly effect surface soil. This is another advantage of having a subsurface living system that can be engineered for having a clean living environment for our people and a place of protection for them from against disasters and contaminants often found on the surface.
Also there are edible plants such as cacao and various spices that tend to absorb toxins such as heavy metals from the soil. This is why chocolate and various spices have been found to contain various heavy metals (including lead). But if these same plants are grown in “purified” soil or water substrate then we could produce food products like chocolate and various spices that are clean and do not contain toxins such as heavy metals. Cacao and spice plants only absorb toxins if they are planted in polluted soil substrates. Simply purifying these substrates like water in aquaponics plant growth systems or using “purified soil” can stop the contamination of these products.
This same principle can be seen with livestock production because pigs kept in confinement and fed clean feeds will produce clean and healthy meat. But wild pigs can access any type of filth and rottenness and toxins. The flesh of wild pigs is generally toxic and full of parasites for this reason because these wild hogs live within a contaminated environment and consume everything rotten that they can find.
Also the bible commands Jewish people not eat the fruit of trees for the first three years while the trees pull toxins from the soil. The fallen fruit of the first three years is then consumed by wild pigs and the toxins carried away.

I know a man whose family owned the last farm in Singapore before it was confiscated by the government for urban development. He told me that one of the hired hands on his farm had buried a dead pig under a Durian fruit tree. However, when they later opened the fruit from this tree it was all discolored and contaminated by the dead pig toxins from the rotting flesh that were absorbed by the roots of this fruit tree. Again, it should be noted that plants can absorb toxins from the soil and from water substrate. So this is why we want to have pure water and soil substrates before we grow any type of food or crops or fruit tress for providing clean food for our people within our living system.
Radiation Poisoning Mitigation
The soil we excavate for our underground system should be completely clean and uncontaminated since it has never been exposed to surface contaminates (such as radiation). It can also be tested for radium to insure it is not naturally radioactive like some of the rock formations found in northern Illinois USA are. There is also surface radiation toxins that exist due to past nuclear bomb testing’s. But our pollution mitigation technology can remove any traces of such contamination and this radiation cleansing technology would also be beneficial in the event of future nuclear war.
But even if there is a cataclysmic event (like a thermonuclear war on the surface of the earth) we could already have the technology systems in operation to create fresh water and clean food within a protected underground environment. Our people would have the potential to emerge generations later when it is safe for humans to once again inhabit the earth’s surface. This is one more example of how we could survive even the worst scenario imaginable (including nuclear war).
